Hello, loyal readers! I hope you all are doing well. Some of my readers have asked what is taking so long with completing my new book, The Extraordinary Journey of the One Called Time. Actually, there have been many “situations” slowing me down this year.
I’ll start by noting the birth of my first daughter (third child) in March. Her smiles and laughter melt my heart, but any parent knows how demanding infants can be. Of course, I couldn’t let my wife handle raising an infant and homeschooling two kids by herself. So, I decided to pause my writing career to make time for my family.
As most of you may know, 80% of all authors work regular jobs. I am one of those authors. I have not yet been blessed with a lucrative career like Stephen King or Colleen Hoover. Earlier this year, I received a promotion that required me to relocate to Arkansas.
Please allow me to digress for a moment and note that Arkansas is as beautiful as many say. The rolling hills, shimmering waterfalls, and tree-topped peaks may not be as picturesque as the Rockies or Appalachia, but in my opinion, they contend to be among the most beautiful landscapes of the country (and I have seen most of the US).
As for my promotion: Not only did it come with the demand to relocate, it also came with the demand to work more hours. Not to worry! Now that our move is nearly complete, I have a plan.
Originally, I was looking to release the third installment of the Golden Lion series this month. Due to the forementioned circumstances, the date was postponed to September, and now April of 2025. I plan to return to the book, with a new outline and story I think you all will love, and have it edited by the end of January 2025.
I wish you all a wonderful day!
